Abstract

A method is given of calculating and evaluating to an order of magnitude the diffusion coefficient and the frictional force in a turbulent plasma. By analogy with the expression for the ordinary diffusion velocity v⃗=D(∇N/N), in our case it is possible to introduce a coefficient of anomalous diffusion, which turns out to be equal to D ≈(cT⊥i/eH) (m/M)½ τ−2μ−5/2. The study is based on the example of a turbulent state produced by the development of cyclotronic instability in a plasma with anisotropic velocity distribution of the ions.
