Abstract
We demonstrate the possibility of application of the polarization-current method to the corrosion monitoring of the operating equipment and present the numerical results showing that the indicated method enables one to estimate the degree of damage to the equipment at distances from the electrochemical probe not smaller than 5 m. The sensitivity of the method depends on the resistance of the electrolyte and the sizes of the tested object.
