Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between nurses' forgiveness, compassion, and professional commitment. This cross-sectional study was carried out on 243 nurses between March and June 2019. The effect of nurses' compassion levels on forgiveness levels (predictive power) was -0.49 and the effect on their professional commitment was 0.82. Results of the study reflect that forgiveness and compassion are effective on nurses' professional commitment. The study results emphasize the need to consider the links between forgiveness, compassion, and professional commitment for hospital administrators, nurse leaders, and policymakers.
