Abstract
The world and Egypt are currently paying great attention to the fileof artificial intelligence and its applications in various sectors to achieve thecountry's goals in building digital Egypt and implementing the nationalstrategy for artificial intelligence. A smart city is an urban area that relies oninformation and communication technology to improve the efficiency of itsoperational processes, in addition to raising the quality of services as itworks to meet the needs of the current generations and ensure the needs offuture generations, to improve living conditions in the city. In this sense, theresearch is concerned with studying the possibility of applying artificialintelligence in Egyptian smart cities and formulating recommendationsthrough which it can be activated in planning smart cities and then achievingsustainable development in Egypt.
