Abstract

Stress indexes on breaking and on attaining less than 20% elongation can be used to satisfactorily describe the effect of the needle-punching density on the mechanical properties of materials of different structure. Varying the needle-punching density is an effective method of increasing the strength of materials but does not affect their resistance to initial deformation.
