Abstract

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of shear wave point quantification technology in the diagnosis of liver tumors as well as its impact factors. Methods One hundred and twenty-nine intra-hepatic liver tumors were included in the study. Elastic value and elastic ratio were used to compare on the accuracy of diagnosis of benigh and malignant liver tumors with Philips-EPIQ7 ultrasound system. Results Both elastic value and elastic ratio of malignant liver tumors were higher than those of benigh tumors (P 0.05). Conclusions Shear wave point quantification technology can help in differential diagnosing hepatic malignant tumor. Tumor′s size, location and different fibrosis backgrounds have non-significant effect on the measurement of elastic value. Key words: Elasticity imaging techinques; Liver neoplasms; Shearwave point quantification
