Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of green therapy on the decision-making power and executive functions of hyperactive children. Materials and methods: This study was conducted as a semi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design. The statistical population included all 7-9-year-old hyperactive students living in Tehran in the academic year 2021-2022. Based on the objectives of the research, 31 hyperactive children were selected by available sampling method and using Connors test, and they were randomly divided into two experimental groups (15) and control group (16). Then they were evaluated by the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test (CANTAB). Parents of experimental group members were trained. Children also received the intervention for 14 sessions of 60 minutes (2 sessions per week), while the control group did not benefit from this intervention during the research process. After completing the treatment sessions, both groups underwent a post-test. After data collection, data analysis was done by statistical analysis of covariance using SPSS21 software package. The results showed that there is a significant difference between the post-test and pre-test scores of the experimental group compared to the control group.
