Abstract

When boiler assemblies are operated on coal, dust fuel, the main mason for breakdowns of the tubular air heaters (TAH) is the abrasive wear on the input surface of the tubes by the particles of ash contained in the effluent gas and also the corrosive wear on the tubes as a result of the condensation of sulfur-containing components of the fuel. With the aim of avoiding the corrosion of the tubes, the All-Union Institute has developed a technology for protecting their inner surfaces with the enamel coating 13-111.
