Abstract

The aim of this study is to evaluate the communication process between school administrators and teachers in school organizations according to the primary and secondary school teachers' opinions. In this research as a qualitative study carried out according to the phenomenology design, the related literature was scanned in order to collect data and ten open-ended questions were prepared to be used. The questions were posed to 15 primary and secondary school teachers. The data collected by means of semi-structured interview form was discussed through descriptive and content analysis methods. According to the findings, primary and secondary school teachers have stated that in school organizations, they do not have problems in sharing problems mutually, face to face communication, formal, informal, horizontal and vertical communication and participation in decision making issues while they have trouble, from time to time, because of the difference between status, extracurricular activities and gossip.
