Abstract
This paper presents an evaluation of the capacitor bank design for self-excited induction generators, which can be used in diesel groups. A methodology capacitor bank design is compared with the design from the magnetizing reactance of the three-phase induction generator. Assesses what types of capacitor bank design is ideal for self-excitation of the induction generator.
