Abstract

A large amount of industrial waste generates a certain interest in the possibilities of their use in the road industry. The article considers the possibility of using copper smelter slag as a man-made material for the construction of an embankment of roadbeds. The results of the performed elemental composition of the studied slag are presented, as well as micrographs characterizing its structure. As a result of the research, it has been established that copper smelter slags are valuable raw materials with weak binding properties and are potentially applicable for obtaining technogenic soils with high physical, mechanical and operational properties for highways.
