Abstract

Artegraft is a biological conduit made from bovine carotid artery. Over the years, there have been a multitude of studies evaluating the outcomes of Artegraft in arteriovenous access for hemodialysis. There are limited reports on its use in lower extremity revascularization. Use of other biologic grafts such as the umbilical vein graft showed superior outcome compared with other non-biologic grafts in lower extremity bypass. The objective of this paper was to evaluate our experience utilizing Artegraft in lower extremity bypasses when no native venous conduit was available.
