Abstract

A 63-year old lady who had a history of aortic and mitral valve replacement developed acute cardiac failure and haemolysis. Four-dimensional computed tomography revealed an obvious stuck aortic mechanical valve leaflet (Figs 1 and 2, Supplementary Videos 1 and 2). The patient underwent an emergency aortic valve replacement and was discharged 2 weeks after surgery. Supplementary material (Video 1 and Video 2) is available at EJCTS online.
