Abstract

In order to study the seismic performance of ancient timber structures under different earthquake intensities, this paper uses the finite element software ABAQUS to establish a finite element model. Through the incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) of the model under the action of two-way horizontal earthquake, IDA curves of multiple ground motion records are obtained, and the IDA curves of 16%, 50%, and 84% ratio are calculated. Combined with the earthquake vulnerability theory, the earthquake vulnerability matrix is established to evaluate the seismic resistance of the ancient timber structures. It provides a reference for the future anti-seismic research of ancient buildings, and also provides an effective way for timber structure anti-seismic safety evaluation.
