Abstract

Studies on the effect of four seed storage conditions (Refrigeration, River sand, Brown envelope and Baft bag) on the performance of rough lemon seeds (variety C. jambhiri ) stored for 12 weeks, in the laboratory and later planted out in the field for 24 weeks, revealed that plants developed from refrigerated stored seeds significantly gave the best performances followed by baft bag storage for all parameters measured. The least was obtained in brown envelope storage. Keywords : seed storage, refrigeration, river sand, envelope, and baft bag Nigerian Journal of Horticultural Science Vol. 9 2005: 55-62
