Evaluation of Searching Method for Various Contents Using Cache Routers with Transmission Records in Unstructured Peer-to-Peer Networks

Abstract

In the previous research, we proposed a method to guide queries using query transmission records in each relay peer and router under the condition where content cache routers available for efficient content searching in unstructured peer-to-peer networks. However, there are many kinds of contents exchanged over the network, and the actual system needs to search the targets from the mixture of those kinds of contents. The efficiency of the proposed system was not evaluated sufficiently when different content types are mixed in the research. Then in this paper, we evaluate the effectiveness of the method in the environment where some different kinds of contents are mixed and the target contents are searched from that mixture.
