Abstract
In this study, Al6061/TiC (4-8-12 wt%) composites were produced by hot pressing method. Composites were analyzed along the entire cross-section with a computer-assisted tomography device (Micro-CT). It was determined that the TiC distribution was appropriate in all reinforcement ratios. Porosity values were determined both experimentally and by Micro-CT and finally the results were compared. An increase in porosity values was detected with increasing reinforcement ratio in the composites, and both experimental and Micro-CT based results were founded as consistent.
