Dodo. 2018. Evaluation of rare plant reintroduction.Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 4: 280-283. Plant reintroduction is an activity to restore the existence of plants from extinction. With this activity the plant is expected to increase its survival rates, biodiversity is well preserved, key species are well built, and its long-term benefits. The rare plants that have been reintroductionby Bogor Botanical Gardensare Pinanga javana, Calamus manan, Alstonia scholaris, Parkia timoriana, Intsia bijuga, Diospyros macrophylla, Stelechocarpus burahol, Heritiera percoriacea, and Vatica bantamensis. There area problemsin the implementation of the reintroduction activities. Evaluation of activities aims to determine the best method of plant reintroduction. Evaluation is done descriptively by comparing each method of activity to the result of monitoring. The methods of activities consist of: (i)coordination only, (ii) coordination and monitoring periodically, and (iii) cooperation agreement. The results showed that the best survival rates was Stelechocarpus burahol(97.4%), Intsia bijuga(80.7%), and Diospyros macrophylla(75.6%). The resultsis obtained by cooperation agreement method. Reintroduction undertaken by a cooperative agreement showed that good survivalrates.
