Abstract

Background: Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is one of the effective treatments in women with fertility problems; however, there are no approved predictors for pregnancy till the present moment. We aimed to evaluate the role of progesterone and endometrium pattern in predicting pregnancy in ICSI cycles.Patients and Methods: The study included 200 women who were treated in Al-Shatby Hospital in (ICSI) Unit from January 2017 to October 2018. They underwent one super ovulation protocol which was gonadotrophin in which releasing hormone progesterone was measured in the 14th day; while ultrasound was performed in the 3rd day and in the day of HCG administration. Results and Conclusion: Progesterone with a cutoff point of 27 ng/mol is a significant predictor of pregnancy in ICSI cycle. However, neither endometrial thickness nor pattern was a significant predictor of pregnancy
