Abstract

ABSTRACT The evaluation of gas producing properties is made more difficult by increased market competition from fuel oil, random production curtailments and the abrogation of contracts. The bank engineer must construct a cash flow projection which incorporates a combination of technical and market factors from incomplete information in a rapidly changing market. By using a technical determination of the reserves as a target, he can forecast production rates that are consistent with anticipated market conditions.
