Abstract
A color-difference formula adapted from the CIE 1976 L*u*v* (CIELUV) equation by incorporating the effects of specific viewing and flare conditions is proposed as providing results in better accord with visual experience for the colorimetric evaluation of the quality of the reproduction of a colored object in a scene.
