Abstract

Rationale: Time course of postprandial blood glucose concentrations (monophasic, MP vs. biphasic, BP) is used for long-term assessment of metabolic risks in overweight and obese subjects. Knowledge about phenotypic characteristics predeterming the type of postprandial glucose response would enable an early identification of subjects at risk.
