Abstract
Rotary vacuum precoat drum filters often run with process parameters not optimally adjusted. In this paper a method for optimising the knife-advance rate and the drum speed is presented. In the case of the knife-advance rate in particular, the use of the mathematical model which was developed, reduces the otherwise large experimental effort.
