Abstract

SummaryEighty infertile patients underwent pelvic reconstructive surgery using a microsurgical approach. There was no attempt to select patients for operation on the ground of severity of pelvic disease, degree of male fertility or age. The extent of peri-ovarian damage was evaluated according to the degree of adherence of the peri-ovarian adhesions to the ovarian capsule. Tubal damage was estimated according to the size of any hydrosalpinx, the damage to the fimbriae, the morphology of the mucosal folds and the presence of adhesions between the mucosal folds. The duration of follow-up was between 7 and 42 months.
