Abstract

Knowledge sharing is one aspect of the broader concept that is knowledge management. The issue of evaluating knowledge sharing is important because both the sender and the recipient of knowledge calculate whether it is profitable for them to participate in the knowledge sharing process in an organization, taking into account their own benefits they may derive from such an activity, and the costs they have to bear. The purpose of this paper is to present the practices used in knowledge sharing processes and to identify the measures used to assess knowledge sharing in enterprises providing IT services. The results of the empirical studies in general and with the devision into small, medium and large enterprises indicate the importance of directions and challenges in managing knowledge sharing. The theoretical considerations and analysis of empirical data develop previous research in the field of knowledge sharing management in line with the changes taking place in the internal and external environment of enterprises and provide directions for further research in this area.
