Abstract
The study aimed to evaluate the Government Grant Program known as “Dana Pokok Pikiran” or “Pokir” by legislators in Farmer Groups in Padang City, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The survey method was used in this study. It was conducted in Kuranji District, Padang City. The subject of this study was farmer groups in Kuranji District. The sample was ten farmer groups whose funding by legislators in the last three years. The respondent was stakeholders in the farmer groups. The data was collected with a questionnaire and then analysed with statistic descriptive. The result showed that the respondent stated the “Pokir” Grant 90% was implemented effectively, 50% was implemented efficiently, and 80% was sufficient. Furthermore, 90% of respondents stated that the “Pokir” Grant was spread evenly, 80% were well responsive, and 100% said the “Pokir Grant was right on target. The study concludes that almost all respondents stated the “Pokir” Grant was correct in following the program’s objectives, except for efficiency purposes.
