Hybrid vehicles (HVs) and electric vehicles (EVs) are widely recognized as green vehicles. The introduction of electric power to conventional gasoline engine vehicles is one of the solutions to environmental problems, such as CO2 problems experienced worldwide, exhaust gas problems in urban areas and fuel consumption problems. These vehicles need power electronics to drive high-power motors.
