Abstract
Introduction: Stock alloplastic temporomandibular joint (TMJ) replacement is challenging particularly in TMJ ankylosis patients due to the limited ramus height, undulating lateral ramus and root of zygomatic arch. Despite efforts made to standardize the sizes in available stock joint (BIOMET LORENZ), this system throw challenges in the ankylosis patients of Indian population. It limits the applicability as the system was designed based on the anatomy of American population.
