Abstract
Chemoradiation with dose escalation to the target volume may increase complete pathologic response in patients with rectal or AC cancer. Accurate delineation of GTV is essential in preventing geographic misses during conformal radiotherapy. In this study, the FDG-PET/CT simulation data from patients with DR or AC cancer were evaluated and compared to endorectal ultrasound (ERUS), pelvic CT, colonoscopy, and digital rectal exam (DRE).
