Abstract
Today wireless sensor networks has become a key technology for different kinds of smart environments. Sensor node localization which is determining where a given sensor node is physically or relatively located is extremely crucial for most of the applications in wireless sensor networks. Localization has been identified as one of key issues in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The widely used localization technique is range-free algorithm, especially DV-HOP (Distance Vector Hop) algorithm. Many localization algorithms have been proposed for wireless sensor network. In this article, we review and estimate the performance limit by changing number of parameters like node density and radio range. The most unsighted parameter is standard deviation of error which is stable in the Simulation results of DV-HOP algorithm.
