Abstract

This research discusses the evaluation of court decisions as an effort of legal protection for domestic violence victims and how the effort is realizing the legal protection for domestic violence victims in the Indonesian criminal system. This research is a normative juridical one using statutory and case analysis. Data collection is conducted by literary and document study, observation, and interviews. Analysis is conducted qualitatively to obtain proper conclusions from the observed problem. This research found that some judicial decisions show the absence of legal protection for domestic violence victims because the judge still imposed the decision merely based on the statement in the Acts and only imposed punishment on the perpetrator.
