Abstract

ABSTRACT A cotton-plant-material (CPM) block containing cotton-gin trash with dried distillers grains and wheat middlings was evaluated as a beef-cattle feed. In Exp. 1, beef steers (n = 30; initial BW = 453.6 ± 33.9 kg) were individually fed diets for 18 d. Treatments (TRT) were hay only; free-choice (FC) hay with either whole cottonseed, dried distillers grains, or CPM; and CPM fed FC.
