Abstract

ABSTRACT Gas-condensate relative permeability curves are enhanced when the interfacial tension (IFT) is low. Parachor methods generally give poor predictions in the low IFT region. The paper presents new IFT, density, and composition data from a model six component gas-condensate, and IFT and density data from a rich reservoir gas-condensate. Low IFTs were collected using a laser light scattering technique. Single component, multicomponent, and reservoir fluid data were used to evaluate density based IFT correlations. Improved Stegemeier-Hough single component parachors, and parachors for crude oil cuts were derived.
