Abstract
Backgrounds and Aims: ESD is a standard endoscopic therapy of early gastric cancer (EGC) and Early esophageal cancer (EEC) which ha invaded to the mucosal or submucosal layer. ESD can be nowadays performed with more expanded indications compared to conventional endoscopic mucosal resection. We evaluate the complication rate and safety of ESD. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 511 cases of EGC, EEC, gastric adenoma, and gastric submucosal tumors treated with ESD at Digestive Disease Center, Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital from February, 2003 to November, 2006.
