Abstract
Tomato is very remunerative crop among vegetables which is largely affected by fungal, bacterial, nematodel, phytoplasma and viral disease. Studies on the radial growth of the fungus in various treatments was measured and the average diameter. However, among the eight fungicides only five fungicides viz., Mancozeb (99.42%), Propineb (99.04%), Carbendazim (98.46%), Copper hydroxide (97.69%) and Copper oxychloride (97.50%) proved to be the most effective as they have inhibited the fungus growth completely. The experiment on chemical disease management of septoria leaf spot disease under field conditions revealed that out of eight treatments using fungicides was conducted during 2013–14 and 2014–15. The mean of analysis of two years data revealed that the minimum disease intensity (6.66% and 6.85%) and maximum fruit yield (19.17 kg/plot and 18.92 kg/plot), septoria leaf spot of tomato was recorded in the treatment where, foliar sprays of carbendazim (0.2%) and Mancozeb (0.25%).
