Abstract

In this paper analytical expressions of the signal-to-noise ratio, which allow estimating the transmission rate of the transmission systems by G.fast technology when operating over multi-pair telephone cables in case of the crosstalk absence, taking into account the crosstalk for transmission systems not covered by the «vectoring» algorithm and covered by the «vectoring» algorithm. The results of the simulation of parallel operation up to 100 G.fast TS over the TPP-0.4 type multi-pair cables taking into account the degradation of its characteristics are given. The maximum transmission rate of the G.fast TS was determined in the absence of the external noise and crosstalk. The crosstalk influence on the transmission rate without using the «vectoring» algorithm and using the «vectoring» algorithm in the absence of the external noise and under the influence of external interference is estimated. The influence of the multi-pair cable characteristics degradation on the achievable transmission rate using the vectoring algorithm and without using it is estimated.
