Abstract

AbstractWater soluble fractions separated from the crude leaf extract of Azadirachta indica A. Juss. lowered hyperglycaemia in streptozotocin diabetes. Systematic fractionation of the concentrates led to the isolation of flavonol glycosides, quercetin‐3‐O‐β‐D‐glucoside, myricetin‐3‐O‐rutinoside, quercetin‐3‐O‐rutinoside, kaempferol‐3‐O‐rutinoside, kaempferol‐3‐O‐β‐D‐glucoside and quercetin‐3‐O‐α‐L‐rhamnoside.
