Abstract

Anaphylaxis is commonly encountered in the allergy clinic, especially in practices with a large number of patients receiving immunotherapy. Risk factors that may increase the frequency or severity of anaphylaxis are still being investigated. To our knowledge, a study has not been conducted that evaluated the association between antihypertensive therapy and the severity of anaphylaxis or whether the number of antihypertensives is associated with the severity of anaphylaxis. This study sought to investigate these associations and bridge the gap in the available medical literature on this topic.
