Abstract
Urban public sports facilities are an important part of the urban land, as well as a subsystem of the urban system. Evaluation of urban public sports facilities is one of the important issues in the study of urban systems. Urban public sports facilities are studied with the support of GIS technology. In the Study, based on GIS network analysis method, and according to the city public sports facilities patches, road networks and block units' dates, accessibility of urban sports facilities in Yangzhou city center within walking distance of 2.5 km to reach the city block units is analyzed, and the block units with different accessibility are also analyzed. The result shows that within the central city zone of Yangzhou city, 44%, 29% and 5.6% of the block units are within the walking distance of 30mins, 20mins, 10mins, respectively, to reach the large urban public sports facilities. Considering the administrative ownership, the blocks' accessibility of Guangling and Weiyang are better than that of Hanjiang. The study received the accurate information of urban sports facilities' spatial distributions and service status in Yangzhou city, which can offer references for spatial distribution optimization of Yangzhou sports places.
