Abstract

• A targeted selective treatment (TST) scheme was evaluated in hair sheep under hot-humid tropical conditions. • The TST helped avoiding unnecessary AH treatments of anaemic or emaciated ewes with negligible GIN infections. • A large proportion of ewes remained without a single AH treatment in all surveyed farms. • Further longer-term studies are needed to determine safety of this TST scheme under hot, humid conditions.
