Abstract

There is a problem in measuring the sound distribution from a stereospeaker array to correlate the results of anechoic chamber measurements with listening tests in live listening rooms. One method which is helpful is to measure the pressure at a large number of points in the live room. A multiple microphone arrangement is described which facilitates such measurements, and its application to a stereophonic speaker system is illustrated.
