Abstract

The National Metrology Institute of Japan has developed a resistive voltage divider (RVD), which is constructed from a series array of quantized Hall resistance (QHR) bars named “QHR voltage divider (QHR-VD).” In principle, the QHR-VD doesn't need time-consuming bootstrap self-calibration and isn't affected by measurement conditions such as measurement current. Therefore, the QHR-VD is suitable for use as a reference standard for the characteristic evaluation of conventional RVDs. In this paper, evaluation of RVD current dependence based on the QHR-VD is presented. From the measurement results of the RVD current dependence, no current dependence was observed within standard uncertainties.
