Abstract

Excessive unwanted noise in the environment is a growing problem nowadays. Active Noise Control (ANC) systems are important active solutions to this problem, especially hybrid systems, which join the advantages of both feed forward and feedback systems, reducing their disadvantages. This system has shown a satisfactory performance in several studies made by various authors. However, results are almost always presented in terms of ideal conditions, which makes the characterization of the system incomplete. In this article, we propose a series of parameters and tests to evaluate the performance of a hybrid active noise control (ANC) system with acoustic feedback and online secondary path modelling within the lines of a non-ideal simulation environment.
