Abstract

Part I of this article appeared in the January/February issue of JOGN Nursing; it reported the methods used in investigating the relative effectiveness of two types of maternity nursing care (family-centered and traditional) in reducing physical and psychologic problems in the family and newborn during the first two months after childbirth. Part II reports the ancillary findings of the study and offers a random selection of comments from parents who participated in the study. It was originally intended that the article would be completed in the present issue, but due to considerations of space, the summary portion will be published as Part I11 in the May/June issue.
