Abstract

Although ion chromatography is known as a good separation method for inorganic ions, some interference arises from co-eluting substances, such as borate, silicate, formate and acetate, in the determination of fluoride ion . For eliminating these interferences, postcolumn derivatization methods with lanthanum-ALC (Alizarin complexone), 8-hydroxyquinoline sulfonate and Xylenol Orange have been reported.
