Abstract

The renin-angiotensin system (RAS) has been implicated in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Here we examined components of the brain RAS, in particular the origin of brain angiotensinogen (AGT), angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R) and their functional role in fear-related behavior.
