Abstract

This chapter describes multiple evaluation experiments that were conducted with the linked list lesson module of ChiQat-Tutor in college classrooms over several years. These experiments explored the impact of different forms of feedback, both positive and negative; and multiple types of worked-out examples, varying in length and usage of analogical features. The data generated by students during these experiments was subsequently used to build predictive models aimed at estimating students' initial level of knowledge.
