Abstract

Prevention, intervention, and child protection in early childhood essentially need well-established interdisciplinary systematic networking. Currently there is a lack of education, training and qualification programs which take the specific demands for interdisciplinary knowledge about the early childhood as well as practical experience about early prevention and intervention in child protection into account. The Internet-based E-Learning training "Early Intervention and Child Protection" was developed to fill this gap. A pilot-study with 45 test-users showed, that they learned significantly while using the platform and changed aspects of their everyday routine. Thereupon the platform was opened in June 2011 to all professionals. At the moment 2,300 people are registered and participate at the training.
