Abstract Introduction Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) is rare in children and may be either provoked or unprovoked. Children with acute hematogenous osteomyelitis (AHO) are at risk for DVT provoked by the infection. Greater understanding of the association of DVT with AHO is needed to improve the rate and timing of recognition and guide management of the concurrent conditions.
