Abstract

PV Systems are currently the most active research area as they are low cost and atmospheric friendly. The output curve i.e. I-V has non-linear nature that needs some methodologies to track maximum current and voltage. The mark on I-V curve where the current and voltage is maximal corresponds to Maximum Power Point (MPP). PV systems are obligatory to operate near the MPP, so to boost up the output efficiency of PV systems. Majority of PV system undergo from low energy conversion ratio (ECR) as a proper assortment of MPPT controller is not possible without the knowledge of PV system. For optimal ECR value robust MPPT controller must be designed and implemented to PV system. This paper deals with operating principles and execution of various MPPT controllers for PV system. To design the best MPPT controller certain factors are to be considered like cost, complexity, and efficiency and PV array dependency. A detailed conclusion has been strained in the paper, which in future will act as a quick-witted for researchers.
